Electrifying the
Urban Environment
— Waybler Street Charging

Street charging that thinks outside the charge box.

The transition to electric cars is no longer a futuristic vision. It has been going for years. Now the big challenge remains – how do we electrify the street environment in urban areas?

Because if all electric car owners should be able to charge their cars, today’s methods won’t be sufficient. What we need is an innovative approach and a broader perspective. That’s why Waybler exists.

Charging is not just about the occasion when you plug in the cable in the car. Instead, we are dealing with a greater challenge that requires new solutions, both regarding how electric car owners view their own charging, and both how to plan ahead for an electrified future on a bigger scale. An important step towards this is to find a power- and cost-efficient method for charging in our shared spaces.

The Way to an
Electrified Future

Waybler’s solution for street charging is designed to quickly scale up the charging possibilities in a cost-effecient way, in pace with increasing needs. And we know that needs are growing. In only a couple of years we will have over a million rechargeable cars in Sweden. Only in Stockholm, 100,000 new charging points will be needed in the following ten years.

It is no longer enough to consider the individual need, instead we need to understand how everything is connected. That mindset has awarded us the Stockholm City Innovations Street-Charging Competition.

Scalable and Cost-Effective
— Here’s How Waybler
Street Charging Works

Two patent-pending solutions that together cut costs for everyone. With curbs instead of expensive ground works and with Waybler’s unique load balancing – you can power and scale charging points in the city in a whole new way.
